It’s recommended to bring your own earphones, as they are not provided. Listening helps you better understand what you’re seeing, but it’s not mandatory. Many visitors start early in the morning to enjoy the quieter hours, while others prefer early afternoon. It depends on your own pace. The museum is large, and seeing everything can take at least two hours. But there’s no need to rush. Sometimes it’s better to see less, but take your time—stand in front of a painting, observe the details, read the information, then move to the next room, and so on. You control your time inside.

Once you’ve selected your time slot, you can’t enter before or much after your scheduled time. Punctuality is key, but if you arrive a bit early, everything runs smoothly. Confirmation arrives by email, and you just need to show it on your phone. If you have connection issues, it’s a good idea to take a screenshot or download the file in advance to avoid scrambling for a signal last minute.

Some people plan their own itinerary, others just go with the flow of the galleries. The variety of the collections allows for both approaches.

The ticket does not include entrance to other sites, like Palazzo Pitti or the Boboli Gardens, but it can easily be combined with visits to other attractions in the historic center.
